Cois Bá is blessed with an idyllic location on the southern shore of The Cooley Peninsula

The Cooley Peninsula is one of Irelands best kept secrets, just a little over one hour's drive from Dublin and Belfast.

Along its northern boundary is Carlingford Lough, home to the medieval heritage town of Carlingford, and overlooked by the Mountains of Mourne, across the water in Northern Ireland.

Carlingford nestled at the foot of Sliabh Foy is surrounded by woodland, forests, mountains, rivers and farmland, dotted with sheep, and a spectacular coastline.

It is a land steeped in myth and legend, once inhabited by the great giant of Irish folklore, Fionn Mac Chúmhail.

An Tain Bó Cuailigne, the national epic of Ireland is centralised on the Cooley Peninsula.
Here Cuchulainn, Ferdia, Queen Maebh and the renowned Brown Bull of Cooley met their fate.

Their route can be followed across Ireland to the Cooley Mountains.
This national marked way is known as The Táin Trail and it is a highly regarded cycling and walking route.
